I am a Consultant Adult and Children’s Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon with my NHS practice based at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and the Christie NHS Foundation Trust. I completed my training in the North West of England followed by advanced fellowship training in Paediatric ENT at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia.
Having worked in ENT surgery since 2004 and through my comprehensive training I am able to support and manage a wide range of conditions including nasal symptoms, voice disorders, swallowing problems and hearing loss.
I have particular interests in Paediatric ENT disorders and also tumours of the head and neck region including thyroids. I am the Clinical Lead for Head and Neck cancer for South Manchester and the Christie Hospital. I also work closely with Greater Manchester Cancer where I am currently leading on improving the patient journey for those referred with suspected head and neck cancer.
My paediatric training allows me to care for all age groups, starting from new-borns. I am a recognised Advanced Paediatric Life Support trainer and regularly teach this around the country. I run regular children’s clinics and operating lists, treating problems such as tongue-ties, hearing loss, snoring and neck lumps.
I am also able to offer early morning appointments to help avoid time off from work and school.
