I am a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Spire Manchester Hospital with a specialist interest in cardiothoracic transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, off-pump / beating-heart coronary revascularisation (CABG), total arterial revascularisation, mitral valve repair, and surgery for atrial fibrillation.

I have a medical degree from Queen's University Belfast and an MD from Queen Mary's, University of London.

Upon completion of basic surgical training in Northern Ireland, I was appointed as a national cardiothoracic trainee in the Northwest of England including rotations in Plymouth, Bristol and Papworth Hospitals.

I graduated from the accredited advanced cardiothoracic fellowship programme at Duke University Hospital, NC, USA.

On completion of my training, I was appointed as a consultant cardiac and cardiothoracic transplant surgeon at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester.

I have published numerous research papers and have presented my work at national and international conferences.
