I have been working in orthopaedics since 2009. I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in upper limb surgery including shoulder arthroscopy, sports injuries and shoulder replacement, shoulder stabilisation for dislocations, acromioclaviclular joint reconstruction, pectoralis major tendon injury repair and fractures around shoulder and clavicle, elbow conditions including elbow arthritis, elbow replacement, tennis, golfer's elbow, biceps tendon repair and reconstruction, elbow fractures and elbow instability.
I also manage hand and wrist pathologies including management of fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's contracture, ganglion, trigger finger and joint replacements.
I completed my medical schooling from India in 2008. I completed my specialist orthopaedic surgical training Master of Surgery in Orthopaedics from India. I gained further fellowship experience in Mumbai, Germany and South Korea.
I gained specialist surgical training in North East England and became a fellow of Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2019. I completed MCh in Trauma and Orthopaedics from Teesside University, UK. I underwent a British Orthopaedic Association Upper Limb fellowship in 2020 and completed a Trauma fellowship from Liverpool University Hospital in 2021. I have completed a BOA Clinical Leadership programme in 2021 and I have been working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2021.
I am working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Upper Limb Surgeon and a Trauma Lead for Orthopaedics at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
I have an interest in research and am actively involved in clinical governance activities. Currently I am a Principal Investigator in a multicentre trial at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
I have more than 15 publications in international journals.
