I have been a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon for over 12 years, and specialise in complex breast cancer reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. I am a national and international trainer on complex oncoplastic and plastic breast procedures, giving me a high degree of expertise in breast surgery. I run a tertiary referral service in Manchester for complex oncoplastic breast surgery and revisional and cosmetic surgery.
I specialise in all aspects of breast cancer care but my practice also includes a large volume of complex reconstructive surgery and revisional surgery. My practice includes complex breast conserving surgery such as breast reduction and perforator flaps in addition to immediate breast reconstruction. Cosmetically I offer lipomodelling, breast augmentation, hybrid breast augmentation with fat and implants, breast reduction operations and male gynaecomastia surgery.
I have performed over 1,400 breast cancer procedures, 600 breast reductions and over 600 breast reconstruction operations in the last 12 years, in a combination of NHS and private practice.
I am Chair of the Medical Advisory Board at the Prevent Breast Cancer charity. I am Chair of the Ibranet localisation research committee. I am Chief Investigator for multiple national and international breast research studies.
In addition to my clinical work, I am a clinical researcher in breast device studies and breast research studies. I am a fundraiser for Prevent Breast Cancer. I am an international presenter on breast research and breast reconstructive techniques, and am Faculty on multiple national and international breast reconstructive courses.
