MD. CCT (neurology). FRCPE.
I am a Consultant Neurologist with over ten years of experience as a consultant and extensive training in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders. My specialist interest is in headache and migraine, including complex and treatment-resistant headache conditions. I have worked in major UK neuroscience centres and have been actively involved in headache research and professional organisations such as the British Association for the Study of Headache. I aim to provide clear diagnoses, evidence-based treatment plans and personalised care for patients with neurological symptoms.
I specialise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of neurological conditions, with a particular focus on headache disorders including migraine, chronic migraine, medication overuse headache and cluster headache. I assess patients with symptoms such as dizziness, sensory disturbances, weakness, tremor, neuropathic pain and memory concerns. My practice includes the investigation of suspected neurological disease and the management of conditions such as peripheral neuropathy and functional neurological symptoms. I also provide specialised treatments for headache disorders, including botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraine and occipital nerve blocks.
I see a high volume of patients with headache disorders, including complex and treatment-resistant migraine. My practice includes the use of specialised treatments such as botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraine and occipital nerve blocks. I have also been actively involved in teaching, clinical research and professional activities related to headache medicine and general neurology.
Alongside my clinical work as a consultant neurologist, I contribute to the teaching and training of junior doctors and medical students within the NHS. I have also been involved in academic publications and professional activities in neurology, particularly relating to headache medicine, supporting education and improvements in clinical practice.
I have contributed to publications and educational initiatives in the field and participate in professional discussions aimed at improving the understanding and management of neurological disorders.
I aim to provide clear diagnoses and practical treatment plans for patients with neurological symptoms. Many neurological conditions can be distressing and difficult to understand, and I place particular emphasis on taking time to listen carefully to patients’ concerns, explain the diagnosis clearly and develop an individualised management plan. My goal is to provide evidence-based care while ensuring that patients feel supported and well informed throughout their treatment.
