I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and I am focused on helping women with fertility problems, those experiencing problems associated with the menopause, period problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome and general women’s health issues. I am a Fertility Specialist and have expertise in Reproductive Medicine.

I specialise in hysteroscopic procedures related to fertility assessment, menstrual problems and post-menopausal bleeding. I undertake menopause consultations alongside HRT assessments. I also have a specialist interest and expertise in fertility that includes polycystic ovarian syndrome, early menopause and concerns when trying to conceive.

I am passionate and known for my holistic and considered approach to my patients and not just focusing on their problem. I aim to ensure patients feel listened to and can share their concerns openly so that we can address them together.

I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist at Care Fertility Manchester. During my NHS practice, I led the Specialist Fertility Clinic. I manage patients with fertility concerns, optimisation of fertility and fertility assessment. I manages patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovulation disorders, menstrual irregularities, and premature ovarian insufficiency.

I have a specialist interest in hysteroscopy and undertake outpatient procedure clinics. I undertake diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy in the outpatient setting for a range of conditions including menstrual irregularities, insertion/removal of intrauterine devices, removal of polyps and assessment of the womb cavity for fertility. I am a member of the Hysteroscopy subcommittee at The British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.

I have completed ultrasound training in gynaecology and undertake pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound. During my NHS practice, I led the One-stop Postmenopausal Bleeding Clinic. Patients with unscheduled bleeding on hormone replacement therapy or abnormal bleeding attend a one-stop clinic for history, examination, transvaginal ultrasound and if needed, hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy. I undertake menopause consultations regarding symptoms, initiating or changing HRT allowing me to provide a comprehensive service for problems associated with menopause.

I was awarded a PhD from the University of Manchester for my research into Endometrial Cancer. I have published papers and on menstrual disorders, endometrial polyps, fertility and endometrial cancer as well as a book chapter.

I am also passionate about public health and improving the awareness of women’s health. I am prominent on social media discussing this on various platforms including Instagram and Tiktok under the handle @dramirygynae
