Professional profile

I currently work for the NHS in Manchester and Birmingham and I am the lead physician advisor for the Spire Perform network. My NHS training included rotations in Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Medicine, Intensive Care, A&E, Paediatrics and General Practice. I completed a dedicated rotation in London for a further three years on the first NHS Sport and Exercise Medicine scheme. I worked at the Royal London Hospital, Olympic Medical Institute, DMRC Headley Court (Army) and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Following this period of additional training I spent six months working as a Consultant in Sports Exercise Medicine in Sheffield.

In the NHS I worked in musculoskeletal medicine and I continue to work in Elite Sports Medicine with UK Athletics, English Institute of Sport and several football and rugby teams.

I worked in London as a Consultant since August 2009, before joining Spire Manchester in 2011 and most recently joining Spire Liverpool in 2015.
