I am a consultant in sport and exercise medicine, seeing patients at Spire for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, sports‑related conditions and exercise‑associated medical problems. I work with people of all abilities, from elite athletes to those simply wanting to stay active or return to everyday movement without pain.
I regularly assess and manage bone stress injuries, ligament and tendon problems, joint and back pain, and persistent musculoskeletal conditions. I have a particular interest in sports‑related concussion and run specialist concussion assessments, supporting patients through safe, structured rehabilitation following both recent head injury and ongoing post‑concussion symptoms.
My approach focuses on accurate diagnosis and maximising non‑surgical treatment wherever possible. I frequently use diagnostic ultrasound in clinic to help explain conditions clearly, alongside ultrasound‑guided injections where appropriate to support recovery. I also offer treatments such as hydrodilatation for frozen shoulder, platelet‑rich plasma therapy and targeted injection therapy to aid rehabilitation. Exercise prescription is a key part of my work, including the use of exercise as treatment for chronic disease and long‑term joint or tendon conditions.
Alongside my private practice, I hold senior roles within elite sport and medical education. I have supported British athletes across multiple Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games and continue to work with professional sports teams at the highest level. I am also actively involved in training and mentoring doctors and healthcare professionals within sport and exercise medicine.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and watching sport, and training for endurance events.
