I am a dedicated, focused Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and entrepreneur. I specialise in coronary intervention and cardiac CT and am deeply passionate about cardiac prevention and public health education.

I am a general cardiologist looking after common cardiac conditions such as breathlessness, palpitations, chest pain, angina, coronary heart disease, heart attack, heart failure, valvular heart disease and cardiac prevention. As an interventional cardiologist, I routinely perform coronary angiograms, coronary intervention, intravascular imaging, PCI, coronary stenting, and cardiac CT imaging. My case mix include stable, elective and emergency patients.

To date, I have performed over 5,000 coronary angiograms and over 1,000 coronary interventions. As part of my on-call commitment to the Greater Manchester region I perform emergency coronary intervention (Primary PCI) to acute heart attack patients. I have personally supervised and reported over 500 cardiac CT scans.

I graduated from Cairo University, Egypt in 2004. I came to the UK in 2010 and was privileged to finish my cardiology training in the North West region in 2016. Shortly afterwards, I became a consultant across both Warrington and Halton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

I am currently the clinical innovation lead for Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Besides my clinical work, I am co-founder of Human Intelligence Ltd, specialising in developing e-health solutions to meet medical challenges. Currently we are working on creating an integrated cardiac rehabilitation software for patients and rehabilitation teams to improve engagement and efficiency of the current cardiac rehab process.

In 2016 I launched the SmartHeart school campaign with the aim of promoting healthy heart tips among primary school children in and around Warrington, to date the campaign has reached out to more than 3,500 students. In November 2018, I was awarded the Warrington Guardian Hospital Hero Award.

In 2013, I co-founded a company developing e-health solutions and started by developing software solutions to modernise and complement the current cardiac rehabilitation process.
