I am an Independent Consultant Dermatologist with broad experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions in adults and children. My clinical practice covers general dermatology as well as more specialist areas, including inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and rosacea, skin cancer assessment, hair and nail disorders, hyperhidrosis and allergic skin disease.
I have a strong interest in modern diagnostic and treatment techniques and provide services including dermatological surgery, gynaecological and paediatric dermatology, photodermatology and photodynamic therapy. I also offer cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology treatments and have experience with dermatological lasers, ensuring patients have access to a full range of medical and cosmetic options where appropriate.
I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and completed my initial medical and dermatology training in Nigeria, obtaining the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in 2002. I later undertook further specialist dermatology training in the UK through the Mersey Deanery and spent a year at the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, where I gained an MSc in Clinical Dermatology and a Certificate of Excellence in Dermatopathology. I am on the GMC specialist register for dermatology.
Alongside my clinical work, I hold leadership roles as Clinical Director for Dermatology at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and as Dermatology Lead on the Medical Advisory Committee at Spire Cheshire Hospital. I am also a committee member of the British Society of Gynaecological Imaging.
