“I am a nervous patient and luckily have not had much experience of hospitals. Mr Chawla immediately put me at ease by explaining in detail what would be involved and that I would be sedated and nothing would be painful. I found that Mr Chawla and his nurse had a good sense of humour. I was soon put at ease and I found I could ask questions without feeling I was being silly. Before the operations on each eye I was fully informed by all involved what would be happening so I was quite relaxed, and I found everything went smoothly. The end result was excellent, much beyond my expectations due to my age (85). I can now see the smallest print and I have no need for spectacles, a most pleasing and successful outcome.
