Specialises in

I am an experienced GP who enjoys working with patients to achieve an informed treatment plan that suits their lifestyle and needs.

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2010 with MBChB and BSc in Sports Science. I completed my foundation years in Glasgow rotating through several medical and surgical specialties.

Following this I spent several years in Australia working in Emergency and Rural Medicine. Here I discovered my desire to be a medical generalist and develop the ability to understand and treat a wide range of conditions. During my time in Australia I also completed the Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney.

Having returned to Scotland in 2015 I completed my GP training working in Lothian and the Borders. Since qualifying I have worked with several practices across East and Midlothian gaining experience as a GP. For me the most important thing, regardless of where you work, is how you communicate with patients and achieving a shared plan together.

Having been a keen rugby player I remain passionate about sport and exercise and the benefits this can have on health. I have completed the IOC (International Olympic Committee) Diploma in Sports Medicine and the FSEM (Faculty of Sports and Exercise medicine) Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine. I am currently the club doctor at Heriots Rugby, the Scotland U18 team doctor and work with Scotland and Edinburgh Rugby as part of the match day medical team.
