I am an experienced psychologist, having worked in the NHS in Scotland for 17 years and privately at Spire hospitals since 2012. I offer a range of psychological interventions to adults on an individual basis, drawing on a number of therapeutic models including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) and cognitive analytic therapy (CAT). I provide a safe space to help people explore and gain insight into their difficulties from a new perspective, with the aim of helping people better understand their emotions and supporting them to make changes to unhelpful patterns of thinking, behaving and relating to others - and themselves.
I work with people presenting with a wide range of common mental health problems, including depression, anxiety disorders, relationship problems, complex and single event trauma (C-PTSD and PTSD) and management of physical health problems including functional disorders, chronic fatigue and obesity. I welcome enquires about my work and experience and am happy to make contact prior to setting up an appointment.
