Mr Miller specialises in all aspects of colorectal surgery including colonoscopy, early diagnosis of colon cancer, screening, advice regarding familial risks, all anorectal conditions such as haemorrhoids (including HALO), fistula, fissures, incontinence, rectal proplase etc.
His main interest outside coloproctology is hernia repair, such as mesh repairs of inguinal, femoral, umbilical and incisional hernias.
About Mr Richard Miller
Mr Richard Miller trained as a specialist colorectal surgeon in Bristol, St Marks Hospital in London and in the USA with the Minnesota group. His research in Bristol was awarded the Patey Prize and Hunterian professorship.
He was appointed to Addenbrookes in Cambridge in 1993 and with the help of many people, built up the department into a highly specialised group of surgeons with excellent results. Mr Miller has been involved in management in Cambridge from a very early stage and has just recently demitted the post of Divisional Director of Surgery. He is now Deputy Medical Director.
