BSc (Hons), MBBS, MD, FRCP
I have extensive experience in managing all aspects of neurological disorders. My areas of special interests are in the treatment and research into headaches and nerve damage pain.
I was appointed to the post of Consultant Neurologist at King's College Hospital, London and the Medway Hospital, Gillingham since 1997. I have been working for the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) in developing guidelines for managing both of these conditions. In May 2013, I was appointed as Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospitals for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square in London.
My practice is now solely at Spire Alexandra Hospital, King Edward VII's Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, where I am based at the Pain Management Centre.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Mun Sam Chong at Spire include:
NICE Guideline Development Group for Headaches
NICE Guideline Development Group for Neuropathic Pain
NICE Standards Subcommittee for Headache Services
NICE Editorial Subcommittee for Neuropathic Pain
Medical Advisory Committee for Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group
