At Spire Alexandra Hospital, we offer a comprehensive range of treatments to patients in Medway and the surrounding areas of Kent and the South East. Our private hospital has two extensively equipped operating theatres, backed up by an extended recovery unit with 24 hour support.

Facilities at Spire Alexandra Hospital

We aim to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Our facilities include:

  • 25 private rooms, each with en-suite facilities, TV and WiFi
  • Two operating theatres
  • On-site pharmacy which is open 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm Saturday
  • The Bistro where you and your visitors can enjoy a daily menu from our professional chefs

Spire Alexandra Hospital is guided by the formulary and decisions made by the Local Health Community Formulary Board Medicines Management Board for the clinical indications that we're contracted to treat.

We offer easy booking and flexible appointment times to suit you so you don’t have to wait to get the treatment you need.

Visitors

Friends and family are welcome to visit anytime of the day every day. We have free on-site parking available to patients and visitors.

You can choose to bring a friend or family member with you to most of your appointments. They can also wait in our lounge or restaurant while you have any treatment and be there for you as you start your recovery.

At Spire Alexandra Hospital we strive to recognise and support the needs of every individual. Our hospital is accessible to everybody – patients and their visitors – and we provide patient information in a variety of formats, including large print and audio versions.

Spire is dedicated to looking after you for your care and treatment, and will therefore carefully assess you to ensure that we can provide the level of care that you need. In the unlikely event that your health needs change and are more than anticipated, we may arrange to transfer your care to another hospital. This will usually be the NHS, and very occasionally may need to be for intensive care. We would only transfer your care if this was absolutely necessary for your wellbeing and care requirements.
