I am a Consultant General Surgeon with a specialist interest in vascular surgery, offering expert care in the diagnosis and treatment of arterial and venous conditions, including aortic, carotid and lower limb arterial disease.
I have a particular interest in the management of varicose veins, providing a full range of modern, minimally invasive treatments such as laser, radiofrequency ablation and foam sclerotherapy, alongside traditional surgical options when appropriate. Most procedures are performed as day cases under local anaesthetic, helping patients return to normal activities quickly and comfortably.
I undertake a wide range of arterial procedures, both open and endovascular, for the treatment of aortic, carotid and lower limb arterial disease. I have specialist expertise in vascular access surgery for patients approaching or receiving renal dialysis, including arteriovenous fistula creation and laparoscopic peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion.
My practice also includes hernia surgery – covering inguinal, paraumbilical and incisional hernias – using modern day-case techniques that promote rapid recovery. I also offer minor surgical procedures such as the removal of lumps and bumps and the management of ingrown toenails.
To date, I have performed more than:
I completed my surgical training within the Oxford and London Deaneries, including at the Royal Free Hospital, and undertook research at Yale University, Connecticut.
I am the Clinical Governance Lead at my NHS Trust, working with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. I am also a NHS England-appointed Medical Examiner, reviewing clinical care to uphold quality and best practice.
I play an active role in training surgical registrars, particularly in endovenous and vascular access techniques, and am committed to maintaining excellence through education and evidence-based practice.
I am known for my patient-centred approach, combining technical expertise with clear communication and compassionate care. My aim is to ensure that every patient receives an individualised treatment plan tailored to their needs and lifestyle.
