Virtual consultations:
My training has given me clinical expertise in the rehabilitation of chronic ear disease such as tympanoplasty (surgery to repair the ear drum) for perforated ear drums and more complex diseases. I am also trained in the surgical rehabilitation of hearing in people who are hard of hearing and have a specialist interest in the management of dizziness and balance disorders. I also offer expertise in general adult ENT conditions.
After completing my medical training in 2001, I undertook ENT training in London and Cambridge. I went on to sub-specialise in otology (complex ear surgery) by completing two world-class otology fellowships at Cambridge and Little Rock, USA. I am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the ENT-UK and of the Prosper Meniere Society, a society dedicated to disorders of the inner ear.
I am on the board of directors for the Prosper Meniere Society. My role includes promoting the aim of this esteemed international society within the UK.
I am currently the head of clinical governance and audit in my NHS practice at Southend Hospital.

Outside of medicine, I am a keen guitar and banjo player and currently play in a rock band. I try to keep active through hiking, squash and racquetball. I travel extensively, which helps fuel my passion for travel photography, travel writing and blogging, all of which I keep on a dedicated website. A diploma in photography helps with this. I am also a contributing travel writer for Glass Magazine.
I have a passion for food and cook a lot of West Indian food at home. I am currently expanding into the art of smoking meat, a skill I learnt after spending a year in the American Deep South (where, incidentally, I also learnt the banjo).
