I have been a Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Medicine since 2015. My clinical practice covers a broad range of endocrine and metabolic conditions, and I have a particular interest in education, training and service development. Throughout my career, I have held several leadership roles in medical education and training and have been actively involved in improving healthcare services. As Clinical Director for Endocrinology and Diabetes across Mid and South Essex hospitals, I have led significant changes to enhance diabetes care and reshape outpatient endocrine services in response to increasing demands and challenges.
Within endocrinology, my specialist interests include disorders of the thyroid gland, adrenal gland and reproductive system, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and testosterone deficiency.
I also have extensive experience in managing all forms of diabetes, including type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, secondary diabetes and monogenic diabetes. I am experienced in the use of both established and newer diabetes treatments and technologies, including insulin pumps and hybrid closed-loop systems.
I am the founding Director of the Essex Diabetes Endocrine Academic Network, an organisation dedicated to improving education and training for healthcare professionals working in endocrinology and diabetes across Essex.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and regular exercise at the gym. I have two young children and, despite a busy professional life, I value spending time with them and watching them grow.

I am Clinical director for Endocrinology and Diabetes. As part of this role, I lead and manage the departments across three sites within Mid and South Essex Hospitals NHS trust.
I am Royal College Tutor for Medicine at Southend Hospital and oversee training and eduction across all medical specialties within the hospital.
