I have personally performed over 5,000 orthopaedic surgeries. I have an extensive research portfolio; I published a number of research papers in index journals during my training period. I am a reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research.
I graduated in Medicine from Grant Medical College and completed my higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Mumbai (India) and my Masters in Orthopaedics in 2001. I practiced as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in India with a primary focus on lower limb and trauma cases for four years before coming to the UK. During this period, I also worked as a University Lecturer in Medical College Hospital.
I undertook further specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the South East of England. I completed my specialist training in 2010 and acquired further experience in lower limb surgery until 2015.
My clinical and research interests centre on lower limb reconstruction, foot and ankle and trauma surgery. I have gained extensive experience in lower limb arthroplasty, trauma surgery, sports injuries and foot and ankle surgery. I am an educational supervisor for junior trainees and orthopaedic trainees of Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery.
