I am a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust, London. I graduated from St George's Hospital Medical School, London, in 1990.
I am a fully accredited specialist in plastic surgery and I am listed on the GMC Specialist Register. I now specialise in breast reconstruction surgery and I am able to offer the full range of reconstruction options including free flap (using your own tissue) regularly using the DIEP, SGAP, TMP and PAP flaps.
I also specialise in cosmetic breast surgery procedures; breast reduction, breast augmentation and breast lift.
I offer a service to examine and remove if required, both benign and malignant skin lesions. I also performs facial cosmetic surgery including facelift, eyelid reduction, rhinoplasty and surgery for prominent ears.
My practice also offers body contour surgery such as abdominoplasty and liposuction, including procedures for females, who after pregnancy are left with residual excess abdominal skin, with bulging and weakness of the abdominal wall. I also offers surgery (buttock lift, thigh lift, arm reduction) for patients who have undergone dramatic weight loss either following gastric banding procedures or through dieting.
After completing my general surgical training I was appointed to the Pan Thames Regional Specialist Training Programme in Plastic Surgery. During this time as well as undergoing a comprehensive training in general plastic surgery, I gained additional cosmetic surgery training from the leading cosmetic surgeons across the UK.
Following completion of this, I undertook specialised training and spent a year at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas, acknowledged as the leading cancer centre in the world. During this time I developed my special interest in reconstructive microsurgery, particularly for reconstruction of the breast, as well as for skin, head and neck, and gynaecological cancers.
