I am a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. I have nearly two decades of experience in surgery within the NHS and have been a Consultant Surgeon since 2023.
My practice encompasses both colorectal and general surgery, with specialist expertise in the investigation and treatment of colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and benign colorectal conditions, including diverticular disease. I also have extensive experience treating proctological conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fistulas and anal fissures.
In addition to my colorectal practice, I provide treatment for abdominal hernias and undertake a range of skin surgery procedures.
I am a skilled endoscopist specialising in colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and gastroscopy. I am fully accredited by the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (JAG) and perform endoscopic polyp removal procedures.
My colorectal practice includes the management of both cancerous and non-cancerous bowel conditions, as well as the treatment of complex anorectal disorders. I use the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques where appropriate, including laparoscopic bowel surgery.
I have particular expertise in advanced colorectal procedures, including intracorporeal anastomosis during laparoscopic bowel resections, Kono-S anastomosis for inflammatory bowel disease and fistulectomy with primary sphincteroplasty (FIPS) for complex anal fistula disease.
I believe in building strong and trusting relationships with my patients through clear, compassionate communication. I take the time to understand each patient's concerns, explain their diagnosis and treatment options, and develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to their individual needs.
My aim is to deliver high-quality surgical care using the most appropriate and up-to-date techniques, helping patients achieve the best possible outcome while feeling fully informed and supported throughout their treatment journey.
