I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, and am also the Labour Ward Lead at St Helier Hospital. I have international experience in this field and have completed structured training in both obstetrics and gynaecology in the well sought after London Deanery training programme. I subsequently developed special skills in early pregnancy and acute gynaecology problems as a fellow at St George's Hospital, Tooting. I have special interest in risk management and clinical governance and have presented at national and international conferences.

I specialise in general gynaecology with specific interest in hysteroscopy, colposcopy, minimal access surgery and diagnosis and management of early pregnancy problems. I also perform gynaecological ultrasound, screening for gynaecological cancer and diagnosis and management of ovarian cysts. I undertake hysterectomy operations, laparoscopy surgery as well as diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.

I have performed over 200 laparoscopy procedures, more than 150 hysteroscopy procedures, over 300 colposcopies and more than 25 hysterectomy procedures.

I am part of the risk management group at St Helier Hospital as well as being the Labour Ward Lead. I chair weekly risk meetings at St Helier Hospital.

In addition to my clinical work, I am also proud to be the Labour Ward Lead at St Helier Hospital.

I am also currently actively involved in undertaking as well as supervising audit projects to help identify areas for improvement for our patients. I am also undertaking service improvement projects at St Helier Hospital including setting up of 'outpatient medical management of miscarriage' and 'ambulatory management of hyperemesis'. I have also written as well as updated guidelines and patient information leaflets. I am also actively involved in teaching and training including GP trainees and medical students.
