Saturday 24 June 2017 GP Seminar
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Simon Stern at Spire include:
Investigation and management of all common haematological conditions
My training in haematology was at the Hammersmith, Charing Cross and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals. I have been a Consultant Haematologist since 1999, initially at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, and since 2010 at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust I have a broad clinical experience in all aspects of haematology, but my main interests are in the field of the haematological malignancies. For 3 years I was Lead Clinician for the Joint Haemato-oncology Multi-disciplinary Team involving Epsom and St Helier, the Royal Marsden and Croydon University Hospitals. I am currently Head of Service for Chemotherapy at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
In my outpatient practice I investigate and manage all common haematological conditions including anaemia, disorders of white blood cells and platelets, thrombotic disorders and haematological malignancies, such as lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.
I am the Clinical Lead for Pathology at Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust. I am Secretary of the UK Myeloma Forum Guidelines Group and a member of the British Committee for Standards in Haematology Haemato-oncology Task Force.
