Professional profile

Since April 2013, I have been working as a Consultant Diagnostic Interventional Radiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. During this period, I have been performing a wide variety of endovascular and non-vascular procedures in both adults and paediatric patients. In June 2015 I was appointed as an Honorary Clinical senior Lecturer at Kings College London. I hold accreditation by the European Board of Interventional Radiologists (EBIR). I am a highly skilled specialist in arterial and venous imaging and interventions including angioplasty, stenting and embolisation. My interests also include Interventional Oncology both therapeutic and palliative treatments.

My clinical experience includes basic IR procedures (biopsies and drainages), central venous access (tunneled lines, Ports, PICC), upper and lower gastrointestinal procedures (stents, gastrostomies, PEG), embolisation procedures (varicocele, pelvic congestion syndrome, bleeding, trauma, other), peripheral angioplasty procedures (visceral, infrainguinal, infrapopliteal and pedal), arteriovenous shunts procedures (fistula and graft), venous interventions (angioplasty and stenting, IVC filter insertion and removal, varicocele embolization, thrombectomy-thrombolysis), uterine fibroid embolization, tumor ablation techniques, thoracic and abdominal aortic stent-grafts, interventional oncology procedures and paediatric interventions (peripheral and central venous access, esophageal dilatation, percutaneous drainages procedures, nephrostomies and ureteric stents, conversion of percutaneous gastrostomy to jejunostomy, trachea-brochial stents etc).

In June 2015 I was appointed as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Kings College London. My current academic interests are endovascular therapies of the diabetic foot, prevention of contrast induced nephropathy, paediatric interventional radiology and interventional oncology. To date, I have authored or co-authored more than 60 original papers in international peer-reviewed journals with high scientific impact (>1000 citations).
