Spire Parkway delighted at patient forum success

24 August 2016

The first NHS Patient Forum to be held at Spire Parkway proved very successful, with former patients giving their views and opinions of how they were treated while at the hospital.

From their first contact with the hospital, through to their discharge and aftercare, patients were able to discuss their experiences, including any problems they might have encountered.

Spire Parkway Matron, Pat Munday, said: “It really was a very positive and very useful exercise. We like to think we are getting things right all of the time but, of course, that’s impossible, so it was really interesting to hear how our patients view the work that we do.

“On the whole they were very pleased with the ‘patient pathway’ but they also offered little snippets of ‘inside information’ that will help us improve things even further in the future.”

Future Patient Forums are now being planned to cover a variety of subjects.
