Solihull surgeon to speak at Pakistan medical conference

09 November 2015

Mr Habib Rahman, who specialises in hip and knee replacements, will talk about complex surgeries, giving guidance about what to do if the operation is not as ‘straightforward’ as the surgeon may first have thought.

It is the second year Mr Rahman has presented to the Pakistan Orthopaedic Association.

Mr Rahman will then spend time as an examiner at College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, the only institution awarding post graduate fellowships in the country.

He said: “It is an honour to be a guest speaker at such a prestigious event but I am even more excited about being part of Pakistan’s national fellowship court of examiners.

“I am the only non-national to be taking part and feel my duty is to make sure the standards set are to international level. It will be a busy time but I think it will be both enjoyable and rewarding.”
