A specialist in ear, balance and Eustachian Tube Disorders, I was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon (with an interest in ear and balance problems) at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS trust in 2004. I then went on to develop my expertise in ear related problems including balance problems. I specialise in ear and balance disorders. This includes problems with dizziness, ear infections, ear pain, Eustachin tube dysfunction, tinnitus (ringing in ears), and hearing loss.

I have carried out over 1,000 major ear operations such as mastoidectomy (over 500), myringoplasty (over 500), tympanoplasty (over 500) and stapedectomy (over 150). I have carried out over 1,000 grommet operations. I am one of the first surgeons to perform the new technique of Eustachin Balloon Tuboplasty.

I now lead Otology and Paediatric Otolaryngologist Services at University Hospital in Coventry. I graduated from Manchester University and trained in the West of Scotland. I attended an Otology TWJ fellowship in Ann Arbor, USA and Causse Ear Clinic in France. I helped set up the Skull Base Service at University Hospital in Coventry and the community ENT Clinic in Solihull, allowing care closer to patients. I am course director for a national Temporal Bone Training Course.
