I qualified from University College London Medical School. After completing a higher degree in early markers of vascular disease, I trained solely in vascular and endovascular surgery during specialist surgical training, being admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009.
I completed a year of further specialised training in endovascular (keyhole) surgery in Queensland, Australia, gaining expertise in endovascular aneurysm repair and percutaneous management of peripheral arterial disease using angioplasty and stenting. I was awarded a travelling fellowship from the Circulation Foundation in recognition of this extra training that was not available in the UK and won the Atrium Prize from the Australian Society for Vascular Surgery during my time in Australia as best trainee.
I was appointed as a Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust in 2011. Practising exclusively as a vascular specialist, I provide world-class treatment to patients with arterial and venous disease using both traditional open vascular surgery and endovascular surgery. I am able to offer a full range of treatment options to a patient with vascular disease. I provide specialist vascular services privately with my colleague Mr Donald Adam, Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon, as part of Premier Vascular.
