I deal with all aspects of general ophthalmology (excluding cataract surgery) and have a special interest in ophthalmic plastic (oculoplastics) and reconstructive surgery eg almost scar-less excision of eyelid lumps and bumps, removal of eyelid bags (Blepharoplasty), surgery for droopy eyelids (Ptosis), inward or outward turning of eyelid (Entropion or Ectropion) and eyelid tumour surgery, orbital pathology, watery eyes, botulinum toxin for blepharospasm etc.  

I have specific expertise in dealing with periocular malignancy and am the lead clinician for ophthalmic cancer services at Coventry.

I have an expertise in aesthetic surgery and offer cosmetic Blepharoplasties (eyelids), Brow lifts, Botulinum toxin injections for facial lines.

I joined the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust as a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in oculoplastics, orbital and adnexal surgery. I have spent over 30 years in full time ophthalmology gaining comprehensive training in all aspects of the field.

I received my higher surgical training in ophthalmology at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. I then spent over two years sub-specialising in ophthalmic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, first at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and then at the Royal Perth Hospital, Perth Australia.

I am very involved with training and the head of postgraduate school of Ophthalmology in the West Midlands. I enjoy teaching and was appointed as a Professor of Ophthalmology at Aston Medical School.

I am the author of over 55 peer reviewed publications in international journals and 120 presentations at national and international meetings. My training programme in oculoplastics is approved by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for senior registrars choosing to sub specialise in ophthalmic plastic surgery.

I am married with two children. With a busy ophthalmic practice, spare time is a luxury and is mainly taken up by family commitments.
