Specialises in
Choosing a breast surgeon is an important and often emotional decision. I understand the anxiety that breast symptoms and a cancer diagnosis can cause, and I am committed to providing calm, clear, and compassionate care at every stage of your journey.
With over 35 years of experience, I offer patients the reassurance of being treated by a surgeon with extensive expertise in both benign breast conditions and breast cancer. My approach is always patient-focused, ensuring that you feel listened to, fully informed, and actively involved in decisions about your care.
I have treated thousands of patients throughout my career and hold senior leadership roles within the NHS, including Director of Breast Screening. This experience enables me to provide accurate diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and a considered, balanced approach to complex decisions. Patient safety, clinical excellence, and high-quality outcomes are central to everything I do.
At my one-stop breast clinic, held on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday and Friday afternoons, most patients receive consultation, imaging, and biopsy (if required) during a single visit. This streamlined approach helps reduce waiting times and anxiety, allowing you to receive answers and reassurance as quickly as possible.
No two patients are the same. I tailor each treatment plan to the individual, taking into account medical needs, personal circumstances, and preferences. I take the time to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly, so you can feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout your care.
For patients requiring reconstruction, I work closely with experienced plastic surgeons as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that both cancer treatment and cosmetic outcomes are carefully planned. This collaborative approach provides comprehensive care from diagnosis through to recovery.
I remain actively involved throughout your treatment, from diagnosis and surgery through to recovery and follow-up. You will also have access to experienced breast care nurse specialists, who provide practical advice, emotional support, and a consistent point of contact whenever you have questions or concerns.
If surgery is required, I will explain the procedure and expected recovery in detail. My priority is not only to treat the disease effectively, but also to support your physical recovery, confidence, and long-term wellbeing. Every patient’s journey is different, but my aim is always the same: to deliver expert, compassionate care with reassurance, clarity, and support at every stage of treatment.
