Professional profile

I am a consultant in obstetrics at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. I am an accredited sonologist with Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I have certification in fetal medicine ultrasound and maternal medicine.

I run fetal medicine clinics for women with problems with fetus / babies and regularly manage patients with all varieties of medical problems in pregnancy. I perform gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasounds.

I pursued my research interest in preterm labour, which led to the award of the MD in research with many international and national publications and presentations. I have developed an innovative service at my NHS hospital called the ‘preterm prevention clinic’ which caters to all women who are at risk of preterm labour. I have had several patients with poor obstetric history and late miscarriages, whom I have treated successfully and they have taken babies home.

I strongly believe in working in partnership both with the women I look after and the team I work with. I believe in being open and true to my patients and giving them up to date information about their condition.

Clinical Interests
