I qualified in July 2002 with an Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy, becoming a member of the International Institute of Sports Therapy. I have worked alongside Physiotherapists at a college football academy and a local rugby club, carrying out basic management of injuries caused during matches. I have done pre and post match massage, gaining valuable confidence and practical experience.

My other work includes sports massage to members of a large Solihull health and fitness club within the sports injury clinic. In April 2004, I gained a BTEC Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage through the London School of Sports Massage. I now works closely with the Physiotherapy team at Spire Parkway Hospital. My duties are to patients at Parkway who are having physiotherapy treatment and are then referred to me for clinical massage treatment.

My role is to help reduce muscle spasm, tension and tight muscles, which can help patients achieve increased mobility of joints, flexibility to tight muscles and for patient who may choose to have massage to help improve sore, tired and aching muscles. Clinical massage can also aid in the recovery of post surgery, particularly in reducing swelling around joints.
