Professional profile

I have been a Consultant in Neurophysiology since 2002. I am significantly involved in postgraduate teaching and training in the speciality, locally, regionally and nationally at key roles such as chair of West Midlands speciality training committee in clinical neurophysiology, member of specialist advisory committee in clinical neurophysiology at the Royal College of Physicians, London and chair of the educational committee of British society of clinical neurophysiology.

My specialities include: Clinical Neurophysiology or Electrodiagnostic Medicine, which is the branch of medicine and a Neurological speciality dealing with the diagnosis of nerve, muscle and brain disorders by way of clinical examination and the use of specialist equipment.

I carry out diagnostic nerve conduction studies and electromyography in almost all regions of the body where this is technically accessible and in all age groups. Other studies include Evoked Potential Studies ( EPs) for suspected MS, various types of EEG (Electroencephalography) in adults and children for epilepsy.
