I have been a consultant gastroenterologist for 20 years. I have a large experience in complex inflammatory bowel disease and therapeutic endoscopy. I have been endoscopy lead for 15 years and have been the upper GI cancer lead for the trust for more than 10 years. I continue to be clinical director for specialty medicine having been clinical director to the whole medical directorate previously.
I specialise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of both upper and lower GI tract. I have a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease.
I have performed over 15,000 upper GI endoscopies, 5,000 colonoscopies and 3,000 ERCPs in my 20 years as a consultant.
I am actively involved in the GI Training Committee for Deanery. I also sit on the Cancer Services Committee at Spire Little Aston.
