I am a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee surgery. This includes a special interest in hip replacement and knee replacement surgery. My experiences have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to perform primary and complex joint replacement surgery with a special interest in revision knee surgery.

In addition I have a special interest in the treatment of the young patient with an arthritic knee. I can offer treatments suitable for the younger patient such as partial knee replacement and patellofemoral joint replacements where clinically appropriate.

After graduating from University College London, I trained in London before moving to the East Midlands where I undertook specialist training on the highly regarded training programmes across both Nottingham and Leicester. I was awarded a PhD from University College London, for completing a programme of internationally recognised research based at the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.

On completion of training, I went on to highly regarded national and international fellowships with renowned mentors, including a British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship to the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, USA.

I am a consultant member of the East Midlands Specialist Orthopaedic Network.

I am proud to have published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and have been invited to deliver several international presentations, including at the prestigious American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons conference. In recognition of my research activities I have been the recipient of numerous awards.

I enjoy and regularly teach surgical trainees, and allied health care professionals. I am a dedicated faculty member on a number of national and international teaching courses.

My NHS practice is based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
