I am a consultant breast oncoplastic surgeon at the Nottingham Breast Institute and have a special interest in breast care, benign breast problems, breast cancer and breast oncoplastic surgery. I qualified in 1998 and completed training in General Surgery and completed a fellowship in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery at the Edinburgh Breast Unit. I started my first consultant breast oncoplastic post in 2013 and then moved to the Nottingham Breast Institute in 2015.
My main clinical interests include treating benign breast conditions as well as breast cancer surgery. I have extensive experience in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery such as skin sparing and nipple preserving mastectomy with reconstruction using implant or latissimus dorsi flaps (immediate and delayed), sentinel lymph node biopsies, nipple reconstruction, therapeutic mammoplasties, symmetrisation procedures including breast augmentation and reduction, re-do breast surgery, risk reducing breast surgery and chest wall perforator flaps.
Research interests: New technologies in breast oncoplastic surgery, Breast care genetics, Breast care survivorship.
