I am an experienced Ophthalmologist and eye surgeon. I undertake more than 1600 cataract procedures per year and have undertaken specialist training in premium lens use.
I have been awarded the East Midlands Eye Surgeon of the Year Award from Private Health Plus. I have also been awarded the UK's Best Ophthalmologist and Patient Safety Innovator of the Year for 2019 in Private Health UK's National Awards.
I am an NHS consultant working in Leicestershire and Nottingham, a medical director of Midlands Medics and a member of the East Midlands Clinical Senate.
I have written two text books and edited a third. I have published more than 35 research articles and have a masters in medical law and I am in my second year of an MSc in cataract and refractive surgery.

Personal profile
I enjoy playing chess (particularly online), however my enthusiasm is not matched by my skill. I am a family man and love spending time with the children although they often drive me crazy.
A keen hobby of mine is fiction writing. I have written several short stories and also published two novels, both of which are in print and in the top 200,000 best sellers on Amazon.co.uk!
