BSc Hons Physiotherapy, MCSP MPOGP MHCPC
Since 2012, I've been a certified physiotherapist, graduating from the University of Nottingham. Starting in the NHS, I honed my passion and expertise in Pelvic Health before joining Spire in early 2023. Here, I lead and develop our physiotherapy pelvic health service. Registered with the Health Care Professions Council, I'm also a member of The British Menopause Society and an Associate of The Pelvic, Obstetric, and Gynaecological Physiotherapists.
Beyond Spire, I teach pelvic health physiotherapy at The University of Leicester and conduct pregnancy and postnatal education workshops. Additionally, I provide education sessions for other health and fitness professionals and have appeared as a guest speaker on health and wellbeing podcasts.
As a mother, avid runner, and former sufferer of pelvic floor dysfunction, I empathise with the challenges of female pelvic health and postnatal recovery. I understand the reluctance to discuss symptoms, but at Spire Nottingham, every patient receives sensitive, compassionate care in a private setting. While pelvic health conditions are common, affecting one in three women, they shouldn't be normalised. At Spire Nottingham, we offer comprehensive support to address these issues and improve your quality of life.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mrs Carrie Martin at Spire include:
