I have a special interest in gynaecological interventions treating chronic pelvic pain and varicose veins caused by broken pelvic veins by embolisation. I also specialise in minimally invasive treatment of uterine fibroids called uterine fibroid embolisation (UFE). Spire Healthcare has world class facilities allowing the most cutting edge treatments for uterine fibroids and chronic pelvic pain as well as varicose veins from a pelvic source. I work together with my colleague Dr Steve Goode to provide both pelvic vein embolisation and uterine fibroid embolisation.

I am trained in minimally invasive varicose vein treatments. I have now performed over 1,000 laser treatments and many more sclerotherapy treatments. I have been performing embolisation of pelvic veins to treat varicose veins for over a decade. All of the interventions that I perform are within an artery or a vein and under imaging guidance.

I am a Consultant in Vascular Interventional Radiology at the Sheffield Vascular Institute (SVI) in the NHS. My passion lies in venous intervention and complex aneurysm repair (EVAR). I lead the complex aneurysm and thoracic aneurysm service in Sheffield and have established the ground breaking aortic arch branch programme. Vascular interventional radiology involves minimally invasive surgery performed from within blood vessels all under image guidance and under local anaesthetic.

I am an invited faculty at the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE) where I teach European medical colleagues to perform all varicose vein treatments.
