I am a specialist in treating patients with varicose veins. I have been treating patients with varicose veins since 1992 and have been a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Nottingham University Hospital since 2000. I treat, on average, 40 people per month in both the NHS and independant Healthcare Sectors.

I trained in Cambridge, London, Oxford and the USA and have been awarded Master of Surgery (Cambridge University), Master of Arts (Cambridge University), Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (Cambridge University), Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and Fellowship in General Surgery awarded by the English, Irish and Scottish Colleges of Surgery.

I conduct research into Varicose vein treatments and have pioneered the use of keyhole techniques for treating veins. I have been invited to talk about my work in America, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the UK and led a European Team that introduced the Olympus RFiTT keyhole technique.

I am a Council Member of the Venous forum of the Royal Society of Medicine, Medical Director for Trent and Lincoln Health, Director of Operations for Alliance Surgical plc and Clinical Lead for the Cardiac, Vascular and Respiratory Department at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre. I am a former Vascular Advisor for the East Midlands and former Board Member of the British Association of Sclerotherapists as well as a Founder Member of the International Society for Vascular Surgery.
