I have been a Consultant General, Laparoscopic and Colorectal Surgeon at the James Paget University Hospital (JPUH) NHS Foundation Trust since January 2006.

I am Honorary Senior Lecturer for the University of East Anglia and the MRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons. My other roles are Regional Surgical Adviser for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and GMC PLAB examiner.

I have worked at various UK hospitals from 1994 to 2005. My last appointment before joining JPUH was as Associate Specialist at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds. I qualified from Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla India (http://www.igmcshimla.org) in 1985. I then underwent higher surgical training from 1987 to 1993 at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh, India (http://pgimer.edu.in) In 1994 I completed FRCS in general surgery. I have over 20 years of extensive surgical experience.
