Mr David Sweeting

Highly Specialist Physiotherapist

BA(Hons), BSc(Hons), MSc, MMACP

"I am really pleased to be a member of the terrific Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team at Spire Norwich Hospital."

Specialises in

I specialise in active rehabilitation of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. I have had training in Health Coaching and this helps me take a patient-centred approach; seeking to empower each patient and focusing on what is important to that individual.

Prior to joining Spire Norwich Hospital in 2021, I worked within the NHS, culminating as Clinical Lead for Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

I am a research active clinician. I have completed the Foundations of Clinical Research module at the University of East Anglia with Distinction (2015). I have publications in peer-reviewed journals on topics including shoulder pain, anterior knee pain and heel pain.

I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1996. After two years general experience at Charing Cross Hospital in London, I moved to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham to specialise in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy. In 2000 I moved to Norwich and joined the NHS in Great Yarmouth as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist. I completed my Masters Degrees (MSc) in Manipulative Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia in 2005.
