I am a consultant plastic surgeon specialising in facial rejuvenation and cosmetic breast surgery. I have been certified in cosmetic surgery by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Board since 2022, and I hold the first official nationally recognised aesthetic fellowship in the UK, awarded through the National Institute of Aesthetic Research and the Scar Free Foundation. I trained on that fellowship with Mr Riaz, who devised the minimally invasive R-lift.

Facelift, eyelid and brow surgery. I use the deep plane technique, which repositions the deeper layers of the face rather than pulling on skin, and gives a result that ages well rather than one that announces itself. I plan the face as a whole: upper and lower eyelid surgery, brow position, deep plane lifting and fat transfer are assessed together at your consultation, so the eyes and the jawline are corrected in proportion rather than staged into separate operations years apart. For patients with early change who want refreshment rather than reversal, a less invasive lift is often the better answer, and I offer these too.

Breast surgery. My NHS practice is complex breast reconstruction, which means I have worked with every category of implant, and receive referrals for the most complex breast reconstructions . There is no standard breast augmentation. I will size and select for your anatomy and your intentions rather than to a house style, and I will tell you plainly if what you have in mind will not suit you. I also perform breast reduction, uplift, asymmetry correction and implant removal, and I use fat transfer to refine results where implants alone cannot. Patients who have had surgery abroad and returned with problems form an increasingly large part of both my NHS and private work;  cheaper surgery often ends up being more expensive.

What your consultation is. I consult face to face only, and see you personally at every follow-up. After your consultation I provide comprehensive summary notes so you have all the information you need, direct access to me via e-mail,  and a  2nd consultation free of charge for those committed to surgery, or still undecided. I do not sell surgery — if what you want is not something I do well, I will refer you to someone who does. Any quote I give you afterwards is all-inclusive: surgery, hospital stay, anaesthetist and your full course of aftercare — and any early complication — so the figure you are given is the figure you pay, and your package price offers reassurance.

I also offer abdominoplasty using an enhanced muscle repair technique specifically aimed at post-pregnancy changes, water-assisted body-jet liposuction, arm and thigh reduction, scar revision, mole and skin cancer surgery, and anti-wrinkle and filler treatment as maintenance after facial surgery. I deliberately keep my scope narrow — I do not perform rhinoplasty or labial surgery — so that the operations I do offer, I do often.

I trained in Yorkshire after a junior fellowship at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. Following higher plastic surgery training, I completed competitively awarded fellowships in skin oncology and breast microsurgical reconstruction at prestigious units in the UK. This was followed by the only official nationally recognised aesthetic fellowship in the UK, run by the National Institute of Aesthetic research (NIAR) and the Scar Free Foundation. I worked with the acclaimed Mr Riaz: inventor of the minimally invasive face lift; the R-lift, and the R-breast reduction. This training was complemented by visiting international experts in London, Manchester, and Cape Town. I am a core member of the Mid Yorkshire Skin Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), who meet regularly to discuss complex skin cancer, and a member of the weekly breast cancer MDT in Pinderfields Hospital. This means I am well placed to counsel you on any skin-related or breast-implant related concerns you may have, with access to NHS specialist services if necessary.
