MBBS, MRCOG, PgCert
I was appointed a consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist in 2015. Prior to this, I was trained in the Yorkshire region in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I have more than 20 years' experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
My main practice is as a Gynaecologist with special interest in Gynaecological Oncology. I lead the gynaecological cancer service at the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust and manage women with gynaecological cancer, providing sensitive and compassionate care. I also have a well established benign gynaecology practice that includes hysteroscopy and management of abnormal menstrual bleeding, fibroids and ovarian cysts. I run diagnostic clinics for women referred with suspected cancer and other gynaecological conditions.
I am a trained robotic minimal access surgeon and an advanced hysteroscopy surgeon. I treat NHS patients using traditional open, laparoscopic, robotic-assisted minimal access and hysteroscopic surgical procedures. I undertake in excess of 200 procedures per annum.
I am a surgical trainer in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgical techniques and I actively teach and train at my local hospital, and in regional and national meetings and courses I supervise doctors undertaking the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG) training module in Gynaecological Oncology.
