Following my graduation from Manchester University in 1999, I spent five years gaining experience in a wide variety of surgical specialties in the Greater Manchester region. In 2005 I made the move across the Pennines and spent the next six years as a Specialist Registrar in orthopaedics, honing my skills as a surgeon in many of the local hospitals in Yorkshire including one year at Pinderfields.
I undertook a specialist knee surgery fellowship in Sheffield in 2010 working alongside two of the UK's most renowned knee surgeons. There I spent one year learning in-depth surgical techniques for all aspects of knee surgery (including knee replacement). I was then appointed as consultant with a special interest in knee surgery in October 2010.
I am now focused on developing a gold standard knee service for the Mid Yorkshire area.
I also specialise in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, arthroscopic (keyhole) knee surgery, cartilage regeneration techniques, meniscal (knee cartilage repair), knee arthroplasty (joint replacement surgery), knee cap realignment surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, nee re-alignment surgery (osteotomy) and partial knee replacements (Unicompartmental and Patellofemoral joint replacements).
