I am a Consultant Neurosurgeon with extensive experience in the management of a wide range of neurosurgical conditions. I am committed to providing caring, responsible and patient-focused treatment, while supporting both patients and their families throughout their care.
I have a particular interest in functional and paediatric neurosurgery and remain actively involved in research and medical education. My current research interests include brain tumour management and epilepsy surgery.
Over the course of my career, I have assessed and treated more than 3,000 patients and performed more than 1,000 surgical procedures. I maintain a strong focus on patient safety and quality outcomes in all aspects of my practice.
I completed my neurosurgical training in Nottingham before undertaking specialist fellowships in functional neurosurgery at The Walton Centre in Liverpool and paediatric neurosurgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. After working as a consultant at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, I moved to Leeds in 2013 and have since worked at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, specialising in functional and paediatric neurosurgery.
Alongside my clinical work, I continue to develop my expertise and am currently studying for a postgraduate certificate in Medical Law and Ethics at De Montfort University, Leicester.
