I am a consultant physician and gastroenterologist at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield. I have wide experience in endoscopic treatment of bleeding in upper gastrointestinal tract. I perform over 500 endoscopic procedures a year. I have extensive experience in colonoscopies particularly in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
From Gujarat University I trained in India, I qualified in 1990 and went onto do a MD in General Medicine. I came to Britain in 1995. I did my specialist training in Gastroenterology in Yorkshire having worked in in Leeds, York, Hull and Pontefract. I spent over two years on the liver transplant unit at St James University Hospital, where I developed my special interest in liver disease.
