I am an experienced Consultant in gynaecology, reproductive medicine and surgery (infertility). I was trained in advanced keyhole surgery in Australia (fellowship) and the UK (University of Surrey). I have received training in reproductive medicine in the UK (Coventry and Manchester). I’ve been a qualified specialist for over 20 years and I’m a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and American Association of Gynaecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).
My clinical interests include hysteroscopic excision of uterine septum, hysteroscopic release of uterine adhesions, hysteroscopic removal of fibroids, laparoscopic excision of pelvic endometriosis (including stage 4), laparoscopic fertility enhancing surgery, laparoscopic myomectomy and both total and sub-total laparoscopic hysterectomy.
I am lead for the North West pelvic pain and endometriosis centre at St. Mary’s Hospital, Manchester University Hospitals, Manchester which is one of the largest tertiary endometriosis referral centres in the UK. I am also a part of the North West Gynaecology team which provides private gynaecology services encompassing the entire gamut of gynaecologic specialties.
I am an appraiser to colleagues and supervisor to postgraduate trainees in gynaecology. I’m a trainer in advanced laparoscopic surgery and offer a 2-year fellowship to senior gynaecology trainees who wish to pursue a career in advanced laparoscopic surgery.
I’m the principle investigator for two clinical trials at St Mary’s Hospital: pre-empt trial (prevent recurrence of pelvic endometriosis) and GaPP2.
