MSC (Cancer), BA Hons (Nursing)
"I have worked at Spire Manchester for 8 years. I love my job role as a breast specialist nurse here. It's a very supportive team with a good working ethos. Patient care is at the heart of everything."
I am specialist breast care nurse at Spire Manchester Hospital and have been in position for over 7 years. I am privileged to work closely with the breast surgeons supporting patients along their pathway from diagnosis through to recovery.
I specialise in creating 3D nipple/areola tattoos using a micropigmentation technique for individuals who have undergone breast surgery/reconstruction. Areola-nipple tattooing can also help the transgender and non-binary community in their transition journey after gender-affirming surgery. Providing this treatment helps in restoring patients confidence and to achieve a sense of 'normality'. I find this truly fulfilling and rewarding.
I am the lead link nurse for infection prevention and control within the outpatients department.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Miss Samantha Maloney at Spire include:
Breast care and surgery
